From June 27thto July 10th, 2016 in the framework of the project TEMPUS 544161-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-UK-TEMPUS-JPCR Aston University «Developing the Teaching of European Languages: Modernising Language Teaching through the development of blended Masters Programmes »the Pedagogical University of Freiburg (Germany)held a regular working meeting of the project participants.
The working meeting was attended by Associate Professor of the English Philology department of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology Elena Chaika and Assistant Professor of the German Philology department Marina Shcherbakova. The main purpose of the event was the expert evaluation of the results of realisation of MA programme «Teaching languages with the use of online technologies» during the first pilot year of training, and improvement of teaching materials based on this assessment.
The chief coordinator of the Tempus project Dr. Susan Garton praised the results of the joint work of the project partner-universities on the whole over the past year, and the participants’ work in Freiburg, in particular. All members of the working groups who were actively involved in developing, testing and revisingthe didactic materials received the certificates of the Pedagogical University of Freiburg.
At the final meeting, the participants discussed various issues of further cooperation in the framework of this project, whose timing was extended to 2017 by the European Council, and in other areas of joint activities in the field of modernisation and informatisation of higher pedagogical education in the universities — participants of the consortium.
